It's a Wonderful Life
February 15, 2022
George Bailey saves the day

I was watching videos about things happening in Canada
This:
A minister helping the needy
The minister told stories of people who were homeless because of the mandates
one story of a father of two kids who was on the verge of suicide
to whom he gave money... and who shortly later got a trucking job
another of a woman who lost her job, her house, and her money
and was living in her car... but came there to fight for her life...
and then this:
Okanagan Freedom Convoy Pt.2
at Osoyoos BC / USA Border Feb. 12, 2022
posted by IrnieracingNews / Marcel Irnie channel
where at the top of the video they were taking donations
but the jug wasn't big enough
and it all reminded me... of... this:
Bank Run Scene from "It's A Wonderful Life" (1946)
I've watched the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" dozens of times.
I find great analogies of life in it.
I study it like one would study a classical novel.
I look for a possible undercurrent story...
one perhaps only implied by the main script.
I've noticed similarities in some of the faces and the characters.
For instance... Mr. Potter's butler... looks similar to the sheriff.
Uncle Billy was similar to the "angel"... an innocent.
Well...
the butler was witness to Potter stealing the $5000. from Uncle Billy.
It may be... that... after years of watching Potter's tyranny
that butler... could no longer remain silent.
And... Potter... would have to face a jury about it.
But... it was the part about George carefully piecing out his own money
just to get the townspeople through the "bank run"
that I was reminded of.
Potter was taking over the town
...and had even taken over the bank
and George... who idolized his good father...
was going to take Potter on.
The money meant for a honeymoon... saved the town.
