Homesteading interests me...
I discovered a friendship circle of suburban homesteaders.
They are not "off the grid" but aim at self-sufficiency.
It's like they have harvested from the modern world...
just like they harvest from their gardens...
and use those things that make their work... EASIER.
Tools... and ingenuity... are the mark of any working homestead.
Their friendship circle exchanges frugal recipes in chain emails.
Chain recipe letters were once very popular... send it to three others.
They have gardens. Some raise chickens. Some goats.
They have common interests and sometimes have a meet-up.
They look very much like they love being wives and mothers.
What I found so unique about BanDana Gramma
was her daily cleaning videos... and her efficiency...
in the small house where she had raised seven children.
A child of the 1950's... she has filled her home with those images...
something... a gift perhaps... for her grandchildren to come.
